This Government Higher Primary School is about 7 kms from Hunsur town on Mysore-Madikeri highway. Village has a population about 10,000 people. Most of them are farmers and daily wage workers.


The immediate need identified by OSAAT team are following:
Many of the class rooms are 100+ years old and are in dilapidated condition. Most class rooms have leaking roof. Some class rooms don’t even have proper roof. Recently a makeshift store room that was attached to main building collapsed, leaving the structure unstable. Classes 1-2-3 are held in 3 divisions in Nali-Kali model. Class 4 has one division and Classes 5th to 8th have 2 divisions each. Thhey need one Computer room – totally they need 13 rooms. The school has only 9 usable rooms.

  • OSAAT has decided to build 4 large classrooms that can accommodate 50-60 students
  • The estimated cost of the project is INR 37 lakhs (USD 51K).
Construction started in Sep-2018 and is expected to be completed by Q1, CY 2019. The estimated cost of the project is INR 37 lakhs (USD 51K).
