We are proud to start this journey. We are grateful and optimistic that people will want to continue this domino effect, so we can do more.

Before OSAAT Intervention

  • There is a large rocky outcrop in the school premises, which is dangerous. It has not been cordoned off and there are many sharp edges.
  • Also, the current rooms are not sufficient for the children, and they usually have 2 classes conducted simultaneously in one room.
  • The toilet is a dilapidated structure and the children were defecating in the open.
  • OSAAT members spoke to the dedicated principal of the school, who thought that the school would get more students from surrounding villages if the classrooms were upgraded and the surroundings were made safer.
  • The school requires at least 2 classrooms with functioning toilets. The rocky outcrop needs to be fenced off in a safe manner.

After OSAAT Intervention

  • OSAAT signed a MoU with Rotary Club of Bangalore Charitable Trust, Bangalore, on November 12th 2015 for the construction of 3 classrooms & 1 toilet block, besides repairing the existing school building at a total cost of INR 23.42 Lakhs.
  • Accordingly, the project was commenced on December 5th, 2015 and was completed in first week of June 2016.
  • The new school building was inaugurated on June 11th, 2016.
