Chinnikatti, Haveri dist, Karnataka |
Project Details Status: Construction started in May-2019. Completed and inaugurated in December-2019 Location: Chinnikatti village, Byadagi taluk, Haveri district, Karnataka No. of Students: 202 School Established in: 1964 Grades: 1– 8 Total Cost of Project: INR 60 lakhs Requirements The school needs 3 Nali-Kali Room, 5 class rooms and toilets. This project is being made possible by the generous contributions from Amadeus. At the launch of project, the school did not have a single class room which is safe. Only one RCC structure was in good shape and that was being used as an office and a computer room. One room built in 1990 has been demolished. Two rooms built in 1994 were in shambles and are permanently closed. In the adjacent RCC building which was built in 2004, the walls have cracked so badly that one can see the outside of the room through the cracks. However, classes 1 & 2 are being held in this room. There are 4 rooms in the original old tiled building. The walls have developed cracks. The BEO has given directions to demolish these four rooms along with the other two locked rooms, but the school has not demolished them yet. In these four old rooms classes 5, 6, 7 & 8 are held. Attached to this old building is a small old food preparation room in which class 3 is being run now. Next to it is the new kitchen. Class 4 is being conducted in open ground below the trees or in the veranda. | Donate We are proud to start this journey. We are grateful and optimistic that people will want to continue this domino effect, so we can do more. |
