Project details School Location: Katrala village, Kagawad taluk, Belagavi district, Karnataka No. of Students: 244 Grades: 1st to 8th Standard (Kannada and Marathi medium) Requirements: The school was seriously affected by the Aug-2019 floods, it was submerged in more than 10 feet of water for more than a week. All classrooms in the school have gone bad after the floods. 3 classrooms are in a usable condition. School needs in total at least 9 classrooms and an office room. The toilets are also in poor condition. Government is now building 5 classrooms. OSAAT Proposal: OSAAT proposes to build 3 classrooms and a toilet block. Estimated cost: INR 40 lakhs (USD 55K) Funding: This project is a adopted by donors from USA. Status: Construction started with the ground breaking ceremony on 20-Nov-2020, expected to complete in 6 months. |
