Project details School Location: Masaguppi village, Mudalagi taluk, Belagavi district, Karnataka No. of Students: 328 Grades: 1 to 7 (Kannada medium) Requirements: This school was severely affected by Aug-2019 floods. The school needs minimum 8 classrooms and an office room. Some classes have large student strength and hence are divided into two sections. The school had only 5 good classrooms till Aug-2019. During the Aug-2019 floods, the school was submerged in water for more than a week, few more classrooms were declared unsafe. Now the school has only two good classrooms. The toilets are also in poor condition. Government is now building 4 classrooms. OSAAT Proposal: OSAAT proposes to build 3 new classrooms. OSAAT also plans to build a new toilet block. Estimated cost: INR 40 lakhs (USD 55K) Funding: This project is adopted by a donor from India. Status: Construction started with the ground-breaking ceremony on 19-Oct-2020, expect to complete in 6 months. |
