Requirements: | The Government DVG Higher Primary Boys School is a 100+ year old school, started in DVG's ancestral house. DVG (D V Gundappa) is a famous Kannada poet and writer – famous for his work - “Manku Thimmana Kagga” ("Dull Thimma's Rigmarole"). Over the time, the school was extended with multiple buildings next to the old house. Also, Government DVG Girls School was set up in the next site around 30 year ago. At present, the ancestral house, other buildings in the Boys' school as well as the Girls' school are in poor condition. Government is ready to demolish all structures and combine both schools, so that a new school building can be constructed at the same location. |
OSAAT Proposal: | Construct a 3 storied structure that will have 10 classrooms, an office room, a staff room, girls' and boys' toilet blocks, kitchen with store room, activity areas and assembly space. The new building will have a modern look and will also have a "DVG library" to preserve and cherish the memory of DVG. |
